ReplyDelete(Its not letting me comment on your last post, so I'm writing it here.)
ReplyDeleteIts uncanny. SO similar! I have NEVER maintained a weight-- I am always going in one direction or another. And like you, I choose downward.
Why wouldn't you be our friend? Enough people judge outside of blogger world. No need for that here.
Loving you.
Thanks for the lists. (I have "Thin" out from Netflix as we speak.) This question will sound dumb to you, but one thing that I don't quite get is the love that you (and almost everyone else who posts here) have for ana. Why do you love it? What does ana give you? I ask this because the relationship seems to be so painful so much of the time. And not only for you; almost every other blogger describes her love for ana in a similar way.
ReplyDeleteThere has to be a big pay-off that I'm not seeing or understanding.
Thanks for your posts.
Hey Girl,
ReplyDeleteYour post on Sunday touched me. My mom started me on diets when I was 5 years old. I was only a good girl when I was losing weight. I have gained and lost weight so many times I can't remember even being 'normal'. Ever.
I have been in a touring rock band for over 10 years. For 5 of those years I was actively anorexic. It drove my bandmates crazy. I sat in our van holding an open can of Spinach in one hand and a bottle of mustard in the other while they would go to restaurants. I would throw out their food constantly. And they awfully sick of people asking them if I was going to die. I didn't give a shit.
A few years ago I was on a 6 week tour when I found out my brother was a junkie. I started bingeing and didn't stop. That was the worst tour of my life. I gained weight back. Not to be healthy, I never recovered. I never went back down but mark my words, I will go back. I want to care about other things but I don't really like people. I like the E.D. I loved it. I miss it.
So I hear you loud and clear. Just don't alert the troops too loudly!
love,
A
I just caught up with your blog... And dang! It sounds like that swim suit thing went... well? At least they didn't have to remind you of the fat clause in your contract!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could share the secret to maintaining... But I don't know it either :/
good luck with life, keep me posted!
Hehe I remember having to watch a few of those movies in health class when I was in junior high. I think I'm going to have to pick up some of those books later today.
ReplyDeleteBtw I love your blog it's you are my inspiration to lose the extra weight I put on so I can once again go after my dreams of theater acting. So I guess I just want to say thanks.
Much Love,
Nas
Great list, the only one's I've seen are HBO's THIN and a secret between friends (downloaded on Utorrent :-P). I must get round to seeing the others but anyway thanks for this.
